There are 95 names of personnel that served on the Vega at Classmates.com  It doesn't cost anything to join for a basic membership.  After you log on, find the tab on the top that says Military and click on it. Then find Browse Locations, then Afloat. Go to U.S Auxiliary Vessels (Oiler/Ammo/Stores) then scroll down the list until you find and click on the U.S.S. Vega. Then click on the word Other and put in the years of the Vega ( I put in 1950 to 1980) and click on Next. That should bring up a list of former shipmates. Good luck.
