Midnight Snacks

We had a supply officer,  LCDR. Beale.

We used to hide cans of tuna and fruit salad in the AC vents in radio and secure teletype. We thought we were incredibly clever hiding this stuff and getting away with it for months during a cruise. He did a pre-home port inspection and found every damn hiding place and every single can!

Maybe the smell of tuna during the mid-watch and the empty cans gave us away?

Amazing -- every can!
