Subj: Report, of Human Affairs Council Meeting of 31 July 197B
1, The subject report has been reviewed,
a. Congratulations to the nominees for Sailor of the Month and special congratulations tc the winner, SK2 MUMFORD.
b. The concept of a shipboard, pentathalon is concurred in. Human Affairs Council ib requested to submit details on contests, scoring and prizes after referral, to departmental personnel.
c. Supply Officer is directed to submit specification and costs of replacement mirrors tc the Commanding Officer.
d. The recommendation for a small stores remains open for consideration. Space problems are valid as is problem of stocking sufficient items in assorted sizes to meet crew needs. In interim, all hands are encouraged, to use shore facilities available,
e. The problem of enforcing uniform regulations on the mess decks, as much as anywhere else on the ship, is a responsibility of masters-at-arms. But primary responsibility rests with the divisional petty officers and. division officers. If men are not permitted to wear improper uniforms elsewhere they will not appear on the messdecks in them.
f .A Division is directed to complete installation of the entertainment system in 01-level lounge prior departure from Sattahip.
